Cortinarius (Telamonia) pseudoprivignus R. Hy. s. Kühn. & Romagn. Faseriger Gürtelfuss Cap 2–6cm across, conical to convex then expanded and often umbonate, ochraceous buff. Stem 30–50 x 8–20mm, swollen into a large pointed bulb, more or less colour of cap, very fibrous; cortina white. Flesh buff, tinged ochre in stem base. Smell astringent. Gills pale orange, later cinnamon. Spore print rust. Spores 8.5–10 x 4.5–5.5µ. AgNO3 turns flesh purplish-pink. Habitat mixed woods. Season autumn. Rare. Edibility Suspect –avoid as many Cortinarius contain toxins. Found In Europe. |
